The result is that a meaningful share of what's printed on the label can pass straight through you. With certain nutrients — vitamin C and glutathione are classic examples — ordinary oral absorption drops off sharply as the dose climbs, so taking more doesn't reliably mean absorbing more.

What a liposome actually is
A liposome is a tiny sphere built from phospholipids — the same fat molecules that make up the membranes around every one of your cells. Each phospholipid has a water-loving head and two water-fearing tails. In water, they naturally arrange themselves into a double-layered bubble: heads facing out toward the water, tails tucked inward.
That structure is the whole trick. The bubble has a protected interior where a nutrient can ride, and an outer surface that's chemically familiar to your body — because it's the same stuff your membranes are made of.

Where it matters most
Liposomal delivery earns its keep with nutrients that are fragile in the gut or poorly absorbed on their own. Where a nutrient is already absorbed well, the advantage is smaller. An honest note
Absorption research varies by nutrient, dose, and how a given liposomal product is actually made — not all "liposomal" formulas are built to the same standard.
